How to Configure Zebra DS22 for TicketTailor
The Ticket Tailor App Required a special configuration to work with the Zebra DS22.
Configuration Steps
1. Connect the Zebra DS22 to your computer using the USB cable.
2. Scan the following DataMatrix code to Congfigure the following parameters:
- Enable Parameter Reading (to enable settings to be changed by scanning codes)
- Reset to Factory Defaults (to reset the scanner to factory settings)
- Creates a new rule which adds a suffix "_bc" to the scanned data.
- Sets low power mode to "On" after 1 minute of inactivity.
- Beep on successful scan set to medium volume instead of high volume.
- Disables Parameter Reading (to disable settings to be changed by scanning codes and reduce the risk of accidental changes)
3. Open a note pad and scan the following QR code to test your configuration. "test123_bc" should appear in the note pad.

4. Connect the Scanner to your Phone or Tablet with the appropriate usb adapter.
5. Open the Ticket Tailor App
6. Tap the Profile icon in the top right corner.
7. Tap the "Settings" option.
8. Switch the "Enable External Scanner" option to "On".
9. Backout to the main screen and launch an event.
10. Tap the "Scan" button on the bottom of the screen and scan a ticket.
You should see a green check mark and the ticket should be marked as scanned.
Quick Troubleshooting
- If the scanner is not accepting the QR codes, try scanning the code below to enable parameter reading.
- If parameter reading is enabled, but data matrix codes are not working, try scanning the code below to enable Data Matrix codes.
